Watford Portfolio
Contemporary Victorian Home

For this Victorian home in Watford, we installed a character-grade parquet floor in a stunning slate grey finish. The 70x350mm blocks were strategically chosen to enhance the room’s proportions, creating an illusion of spaciousness. The flooring features a bleached hard wax oil finish, offering a soft blend of browns, light greys, and dark greys, culminating in an ash-toned contemporary look.

Our team successfully brightened a 45m² area in just one week, addressed subfloor challenges—levelling a 40mm discrepancy before undercutting skirting and fully bonding the floor to screed delivering a modern contemporary feel in a classic Victorian setting.

Cassiobury Portfolio
Open-Plan Luxury Kitchen with Chevron Flair

When two rooms became one, we introduced a prime-grade chevron floor measuring 90×500mm. After precisely levelling the subfloors with plywood, we fully bonded the chevron design to create a continuous flow through the expanded living and dining area.

Given the flooring’s placement in a high-traffic kitchen, we applied an additional coat of hard wax oil to enhance durability and protection. The flooring beautifully complements the client’s oak table and bench, reinforcing a harmonious, light-filled atmosphere.

Harpenden Engineered Oak Planks
for a Refined Kitchen

Focused on a kitchen-only installation, this project featured a 220mm-wide engineered plank in a character-grade, natural oiled finish. With electric underfloor heating already in place, we meticulously removed plinths and trimmed around the island to ensure a snug, precise fit.

The fully glued-down method ensures stability and maximizes heat transfer. Pre-finished boards allow quick installation, while the 20mm thickness offers durability and a refined look.

Moor Park Luxe Parquet
With a High-Gloss Finish and Border Inlays

This prime-grade Victorian block flooring with a natural oil gloss finish exemplifies fine detailing. Each 80×300mm block was installed wall-to-wall, then we cut in a double border accented by a Wenge feature strip for added character.

By coordinating with the builder early, we ensured subfloor heights matched adjoining tiles. After laying the main parquet, we precisely routed space for the double border and Wenge strip, creating a polished, high-sheen look. This thorough approach delivers a unified, luxurious finish that satisfies the client’s desire for elegance and shine.

St Albans Bold Brown Red Walnut Tones
and Expert Craftsmanship

For this St Albans residence, the goal was a harmonious blend between flooring and existing walnut furniture. Our client selected Nutmeg, a premium oak-engineered parquet with a rich, walnut-inspired hue. Installed in a medium herringbone format (90x400mm), giving the floor a warm glow that complements existing décor

We encountered damp and uneven subfloors, so we allowed time for drying, then applied a self-levelling compound. This method ensured a perfectly smooth surface for fully bonded installation. After the building work, we added another coat of oil for a sleek satin effect, allowing natural light to reflect elegantly across the floor.
